LCM Enterprise Mapping Framework

Overview - LCM Enterprise Mapping Framework

Having access to accurate Enterprise LifeCycle Asset Management (ELAM) information provides opportunities for additional Enterprise wide value. Utilizing the LCM Enterprise Mapping Framework, we continue the data accuracy evolution and integrate ELAM information with capabilities available in the Enterprise Architecture domain.

LCM Data Group has partnered with BizzDesign to create a framework that integrates LCM Data Group ELAM data as functional models utilizing the ArchiMate framework integrated into BizzDesign's Enterprise Studio

With this integration, the LCM Enterprise Mapping Framework provides additional data relationships that allow the evaluation of LifeCycle risk through new insights:

  • Technology Layer Risk: By relating ELAM asset information with other technology components (router, switch -> server), it is possible to create server risk profiles that take into consideration the risk of the switch and router that it’s connected to and through
  • Application Layer Risk: Similar to the technology layer, we extend into the Application Layer where risk can be evaluated as a function of the servers and network equipment that support it
  • Business Layer Risk: The holy grail where risk can be evaluated all the way up to Corporate strategies, initiatives, campaigns and any other revenue or cost initiative supported by the Executive team.
